HALLOWEEN TREASURE HUNT

October 29, 2022, 13:00-19:00

According to a team of research scientists at Piedmont College, there is a valuable treasure buried in the fields, in Mt. Airy, GA.  This treasure, presumably, is spread out over a five-acre area and is concealed inside a total of 44 eggs.  Why this was done and by whom, we are not sure (the researchers are hard at work trying to figure that out), but in order to further their progress, the eggs need to be found, and the data delivered to the College.

During the course of this research, it became apparent that each egg contains a gold bar, each with a unique number, identifying a specific part of the treasure.

Two groups of well-known treasure hunters, Sigma Demons and Cosmos Demons have announced that they will uncover this treasure and will not stop until they’ve found it all!  Naturally, each team will do whatever it takes to protect their bounty, while the other team tries to take that bounty for their own.

PARTICIPATING GROUPS:

Cosmos Demons

Sigma Demons

SPECIAL EVENT RULES:

  • Each group will be assigned a field to protect

  • Each one of the teams will embark on finding the eggs in the opposing team’s field

  • Each team will protect their own territory and not let the other team get to their treasure

  • Once an egg has been found, keep it!  DO NOT OPEN THE EGGS!!!

Bring all the eggs you’ve managed to uncover, no later than 18:00, to the staging area, UNOPENED AND UNDAMAGED

At precisely 18:00, the trusted official will collect the eggs, making careful account of all those responsible for the finds, and the winners will be announced.

The data collected from the treasure will be passed over to the research team, while you get to keep the treasure!
